In July and August of 2006, Thom created and directed a seven-week theatre training and performance program for a group of fifteen high-school students from Colorado Springs and Woodland Park, CO. The three-week curriculum of daily training addressed the following performance skills: physical and vocal presence, storytelling, mask and puppet making, rhythm and music, parade and performance. The final four weeks of the program included nearly sixty performances in over thirty different performance venues ranging from parks to street festivals to malls, camps, and theatres. The program served three purposes: an education program for its participants, a performance program for the community, and an outreach program for the Colorado Festival of World Theatre.
