From Nocturnal WandererOdyssey Productions is a non-profit theatre company currently producing work in both New York and Washington, D.C.  Odyssey's mission is to develop and produce new and innovative works adhering to the principle of collective creation. They produce work in  traditional and non-traditional theater spaces. Recent productions include The True Tragedy of the Mortician at the Inaugural Capital Fringe Festival (2006) performed at the Hotel Helix; the premiere of Carly Mensch's The Delicate Business of Boy and Miss Girl at the 2006 New York International Fringe Festival; and a week of Suzan Lori-Parks's 365 Plays / 365 Days in 3 different "found-space" locations in Washington, DC (The Warehouse Sound Stage, Union Station, the Jefferson Memorial) as part of the National 365 Plays Festival.  This summer, Odyssey has commissioned a work by Hillary Miller for production at the 2nd Annual Capital Fringe Festival, and this fall will be producing The Savannah Theatre Project in South Africa.

HARTSThe Witness Hilton Arts Festival was begun in 1993 by Geoff Thompson and Sue Clarence to bring top quality theatre to the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The event now includes all genres of performance art and is enhanced by visual art exhibitions, an extensive craft market, many eateries, and a beer tent. Still situated in the extraordinarily scenic environment of Hilton College and the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, this year the Festival is expanding in two different directions with the introduction of international performances as well as a developmental program in local disadvantaged communities. Last year, the Festival hosted 93 performances of 59 different productions in thirteen venues, and it is now regarded as an extremely important date on the theatrical calendar in South Africa.  Accommodations for the festival can be found at www.at.artslink.co.za/~hilton/fest/accom2.htm

CheetahThe Savannah Wildlife Preserve is a unique wildlife sanctuary and education facility located an hour outside of Johannesburg. Created by the political and social activists Renee and Bobby Hartslief, the preserve is a trendsetter in its environmental and educational work. As a fully authorized nature, game and wildlife sanctuary, a registered Nature Conservancy, a member of the Animal Rehabilitation Council, and a founding member of the Wild Water Conservancy, the Savannah is fully committed to the preservation of the wildlife and habitats of South Africa. By hosting schools, trips, and events, it provides a unique opportunity for students to experience nature in its most dynamic state.
